I am in Europe looking for jobs but so far there’s nothing. Since I am from Mexico, I put my profile on a job search website in Mexico. 3 days ago I received an email from a lady from a very good international company and an excellent position in Mexico. She said she was interested on me and wanted to schedule an interview for the next day. Of course this wasn’t possible so I emailed her back saying that in that moment I am not in the country so an interview for that week would not be possible, I asked her if it would be possible to to talk on the phone or messenger. Now it’s been 3 days after and she never replied to my email. I was hoping she would email me asking me when I would be back.

This is an extremely great opportunity for a dream position. What should I do? should I try calling her? What should I say? A flight from here to there would be over US$1200 just to go to an interview and that just a one way flight price.

I am so frustrated by how difficult it is for US citizens to find teaching, tutoring, or camp work in Europe. I understand it is due to the US’s restrictions with work visas and stuff like that with other countries. Thus, making it difficult for US citizens wanting to work abroad. I have googled and searched all over trying to find SOMETHING that involves teaching or working with children for just the summer. And that proved even to be difficult. The websites usually only offered positions or programs for high school students, recent college graduates, EU citizens, or you had to pay a certain big fee. *Sigh* I’ve already taught in Asia before and that was WAY easier to book. I’ve read some other reponses and it seems working Europe is pretty much obslete for Americans, unless your willing to pay big bucks for a ” world-wide exprience”. So, my question is that pretty much true- working for the summer in Europe for Americans is obslete? Or can anyone recommend any websites, contacts, or something that might be helpful?

P.S I’ve already checked the big forums like Dave’s esl cafe, transitionsabroad, teachabroad, and BUNAC and came up with nothing. Also please don’t recommend Asia because I’ve already worked there and am looking for something in Europe.
( I wouldn’t even mind if the jobs available didn’t really involve teaching or camp. )

I want to find a job for my brother. He has category B,C,E drivers license and seeks for a truck drivers job. But the problem is that he doesn’t speak danish language! But he could work in a danish company to drive inside Europe, because he speaks many other languages. So the question is how can i help my brother to get a job? I searched the internet but couldn’t find much. Should I go to workers agencies ( vikar ) and see if they are looking for a driver?

Hi- I just started a Ph.D program in History…. All I hear among my fellow classmates is talk about job openings and expected job openings in the US. Does anybody know how to go about applying for University teaching jobs abroad (specifically Europe)? Other than language proficiency, are there any specific requirements? Job search databases?
I see foreign born professors in the US…. are there many US professors abroad? (There must be, but how do they apply for and get those jobs!:) )

im an indian with a residence visa in the UAE, im 23 yrs old. i love travelling, different languages and cultures. i wanna travel to europe for a month and search a job and settle there, im working for world’s leading company so i can get a job thats not an issue, i wanna make my trip very cheaper, which country should i strt with, in which country i will get job easily, insurance for schengen visa is covered by my credit card company. can i settle in europe, i dnt have enough funds, im from a mediocre family. how much do i need to travel to europe, i.e to schengen countries for 15 days. tell me the route where should i begin and where should i end, one more question since im a uae resident ( basically indian ) can i cancel my residence visa of uae after i get a job in europe, pls do help me

My family are planning a trip to visit the family over in Europe for about a week during the xmas holiday. I am a full time college student and will have vacation then (be between semesters) but I have an on-going search for a job. We kinda need to book the tickets fairly soon but would a trip ruin my chances at getting a job? I am sure this has happened before, what have you done, what should I do? Just get the tickets and tell them right off in the interview?
