I would like to move to Europe (Netherlands, France or UK) after July 2007. I am a US citizen, with two masters degrees, and I speak so-so French. How would I go about finding a job there? Are there specific employment search engines for non-profits versus for-profit? How about any US companies based there that would hire someone who wanted to live in Europe versus US? Any suggestions are welcome!

Good luck. I have a friend who is a programer with years of experience who moved to England and had a very hard time finding work.
Some countries will give you a work Visa if you have valuable skills, but Europe has very high unemployment right now. Maybe you should try Australia or New Zealand?
Open a coffee shop in Amsterdam.
with the two masters degrees and if you also have good working experience, i’m sure you can find a great jobs there..
to find that kind of corporation, i think you can searching it on google, maybe if you know some of the international company based in US you can search their website and try to find the link in europe territory.. good luck baby..
You should submit your resume to leading jobsite like http://www.monster.com, http://www.careerbuilder.com. Also you should consult local placement consultant in your area. In the meantime, look out for an option to work online. Although it wont pay you like full time job but you can make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit

I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)
A piece of advice from a French girl :
Find a job in the US in a big company that has subsidiaries in Europe, then ask for a job in a subsidiary.
I work for the French subsidiary of an American company and most foreigners I know who work in France in my company have started working in their country before moving to France (some don’t even speak French…).
You can also think about big French (or British or Dutch) companies you already know and look for their websites. Most of the time, they have an “employment” link.
For France, you can also have a look at apec.fr, cadremploi.fr (both only for executives), monster.fr, etc.

London, England. Its own of the major business centers of the world and you could definetly find a job there. Also it helps that you speak French even if it is so so because you could be a company liason for foreign affairs. For now just have fun thinking of the possibilities.
